THE BEST DINER IN EXISTENCE!!!!!!!! Nothing can beat the mouthwatering, fluffy yet crispy cider donuts. The pumpkin pancakes with chocolate chips amazing! The best place I have ever gone to. The people are beyond wonderful and the atmosphere is relaxing. It was packed but, they got us in with great food and out with fully bellies. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Update: We went this weekend and still like the place. As before, it is homey and very comfortable. You can wear your comfortable clothes and eat a relaxed meal. We had the special of Hash Brown casserole (yum), with sides of eggs and toast; plus the bacon + fried eggs with homefries. The waitress was pleasant and quick. The decaf coffee was very good and refilled. Everything was cooked just as it should be!! Can't get better than that.
A very reliable eatery. Good food at a fair price. They do a lot of breakfasts. My picture shows french toast with sausage patties, and scrambled eggs with bacon, home fries, and toast. The coffe is good, but the specialty is a selection of fresh homemade doughnuts. And, they are as good as you can get.

Wait was a bit excessive considering we were the only ones here but we were a party of 6. Food was good. I would come back.
"We LOVE this little, home-town Diner! The BEST Friday Fish Fry in the Adirondacks!" This place is the "real deal!" It's a little off of the beaten path (Route 28) in Forestport on Woodhull Road but well worth the very minor detour. The Friday Fish Fry is the BEST in the Adirondacks (OK, just south of the Adirondack Park), the sides are virtually all "home-made." The Clam Chowder is the BEST I've ever had, and you MUST try the house-made donuts, the BEST donuts on the planet! Everyone is super friendly there. The Diner is in a tiny old hotel that is the epitome of quaint. Sunday breakfast is awesome as well. It is truly a "friendly place" with great, inexpensive eats!
We eat here often. Best fish fry ever! Breakfast is fabulous, and don't forget to get a donut. and servers are always friendly and work hard to take care of us.

Service was amazing ; fast as it should be for a sit in family dinner restaurant. I had never heard of a sloppy plate before until I tried it in forestport diner. Very friendly employees. The dinner it's self was mouth watering. I would totally re that if you are in the area try the forestport diner sloppy plate !
